The Grand Strand encompasses the entire Myrtle Beach area and within the 60 miles of stunning beaches are several individual communities that all have a little something special to offer.
Myrtle Beach truly provides something for everyone including excellent shopping, golfing, restaurants, family attractions, good schools, a wide variety of churches, and incredible beaches. It encompasses nearly 60 miles of wide, sandy beaches with dining, lodging and attractions stretching the entire way. Families will find their niche with a multitude of family friendly restaurants, water and amusement parks, pools, fishing and shopping. If nightlife is more your style, you won't be disappointed with the a wide variety of live music shows, local dance clubs and entertainment. In addition to excellent beaches, Myrtle Beach also offers prime fishing including fresh and salt water excursions. If you choose to fish from the shore, there are several piers to accommodate you as well.
Surfside Beach is ideal for families and is even coined "the family beach". Along its lovely beachfront, you'll find beach houses, hotels, condominiums, and a popular fishing pier. Surfside Beach offers great beaches, a variety of restaurants and things to do including an excellent fishing pier onsite! Surfside Beach is a little quieter, while still close to all that the Myrtle Beach area has to offer.
Garden City Beach is located on the Southern point of Surfside Beach. This location is ideal for fisherman and water sports as the beach provides easy access to the ocean and inlet. In addition to excellent fishing access , you will find a nice variety restaurants and a marina. Garden City Beach is known for it's many beach houses instead of hotels.
Murrells Inlet is a quaint, little town full of history,
beauty & colorful characters. Tucked away just 10 miles south of the hustle and
bustle of Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet is a nature lover's paradise. Here, you
won't find flashing neon signs or roller coasters, but rather the quaint feel of

to relax, families come to dine and snowbirds come to retire.
Pawleys Island is a small, non-commercial resort island, four miles long and a quarter of a mile wide, situated on the coast of South Carolina, twelve miles north of historic Georgetown and 20 miles south of Myrtle Beach. It caters to a relaxed family atmosphere and offers uncrowded beaches, great fishing and nature at its best. Activities are practically unlimited: golfing, fishing, boating, sailing, nature trips, historic tours, shell gathering and river cruises.
